Seeds – make space for blooming creativity

“Wabi-Sabi”, from Japanese, means a vision of the world centered on accepting impermanency of things and on search for beauty in the imperfection and incompletion of our lives. Wabi-Sabi explores our life journey as individuals, generally always dissatisfied and at various stages of anguish, and it triggers a reflection on our own existence. Accepting the core of our nature and of beauty that can be found in imperfection leads to growth, renaissance and joy.

Sofia Nappi, choreographer and professional dancer, graduated at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, in New York, and is now studying with Batsheva Dance Company to become a teacher of Gaga technique. Sofia is a performer in many internationally famous artists’ works as well as artistic director and co-founder of the “KOMOKO” project, together with the composer and violinist Alice Nappi. She has been resident choreographer at Nimbus Dance Works in New York for her creation “Wabi-Sabi”, and won the international ban for young choreographers at Biennale of Venice in 2019. In 2020 she presented her choreographic project IMA at the International Festival of Contemporary Dance at Biennale of Venice. In 2021 her creation, Wabi-Sabi, won the ban Komm Tanz 2021.
