Le Sacre du Printemps
Dewey Dell
In every metamorphosis, death accompanies life as a rite of passage or an inner revolution. Le Sacre du Printemps explores this entanglement in the animal and vegetal world, where death gives birth to life. Spring is both storm and regeneration: an explosion of life that carries its opposite within. Dewey Dell traverses Stravinsky’s legendary score with a visceral, unsettling, and carnal vision.
Bio
Dewey Dell is a dance and performing arts company founded in 2006, now composed of Agata Castellucci, Teodora Castellucci, Vito Matera, and musician Demetrio Castellucci. Their choreographic research draws inspiration from visual art and the animal realm, approaching ancient archetypes with a contemporary gaze. Their work merges dance, music, visual arts, and performance, and has been presented at leading festivals and institutions including La Biennale di Venezia, Barbican Centre (London), Palais de Tokyo (Paris), and the Melbourne Festival.
