Premiere
Riflessi di Tremenda Presenza by Margherita Landi is a tribute to Elegie Duinesi by Maria Rilke, and to the presence of the invisible. The choreographer uses the “Landi’s Cube” system and VR visors to communicate with the performers on stage, who also contribute to the creative process. Using Mixed Reality and a shared visual language, Landi can direct the performance in real time without restricting the dancers’ creative freedom. The result is a dialogue between choreographer, performers and technology where we don’t find hierarchy but collaboration.
Post-show talk – Dance Circle, hosted by Maddalena Giocannelli from Stratagemmi Prospettive Teatrali
Bio
Choreographer, video maker and graduate in Cultural Anthropology. Since 2010, her artistic work began to focus on practical and theoretical studies on perception and attention. Since 2014 it has extended to a reflection of body and technology, on the transformation of rituals and emotional processes brought about by digital interactions. She has explored Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Projection mapping, and social media. In the last few years, she has focused on VR for this technology’s embodiment potential, studying different choreographic transmission techniques through the VR visor. In 2021, her work “Peaceful Places” won the prestigious Auggie Award as Best Art in VR.
