What happens when what we think we know changes shape? Flamingo questions the relationship between identity, judgement, and appearance. Eight choreographic actions repeat and transform, creating a system in constant flux. A poetic and visual inquiry into the desire for recognition, the plurality of bodies, and the irreducible diversity embedded in every gesture.

Starting from the work on Flamingo, the talk opens up a reflection on the methodology of shared leadership as a way of organizing artistic work that creates space for a plurality of skills and physical and psychological conditions. The discussion will be further explored through examples of performances that have turned shared leadership into an aesthetic form.
