Plutone is a choreographic composition that explores and challenges the centrifugal and centripetal relationships of three bodies in constant orbital movement through space. It is a reflection on cooperation and the delicate fragility of harmony. The interaction between the moving bodies generates a hypnotic and celestial landscape: a series of concentric evolutions punctuated by actual and potential encounters, attractive and repulsive tensions and ever-shifting balances.
POVERO PLUTONE – POOR PLUTO!
Dance Circle with Elisabetta Consonni, choreographer, and Fabio Peri, Scientific Director of the Milan Planetarium.
Pluto is no longer a planet in the Solar System—it has been demoted! And yet, it is precisely its characteristics that make it, perhaps, the first of a family of celestial bodies that are still waiting to be discovered. Following Plutone by Elisabetta Consonni, the conversation with Fabio Peri, astrophysicist and curator of the Civic Planetarium of Milan “U. Hoepli”, will take the story of the most famous dwarf planet as a starting point to reflect on the relationship between scientific discovery and imagination, between what we know about the universe and what still invites us to look beyond. Moderated by Alice Strazzi.
Bio
Elisabetta Consonni choreographs everything: human and non-human beings, moving and non-moving objects, maps, interstices and space holiday groups. Her research aims to expand choreographic practice until it becomes a tool for shifting attention, observing relational dynamics, overturning narratives and critically rereading contexts.
