In Conversations about the moment the relationship with time plays an important role in the performers’ actions. Multi-instrumentalist Emanuele Maniscalco’s musical ideas open a quick-fire dialogue between the sounds and gestures of Camilla Monga’s choreographic score.
Conversations about the moment uses improvisation as a dramaturgic basis for an exploration of time, reflecting on the compositional structure and its continuous transformation.
Each performer on stage is, at one and the same time, present both in the choreographic score and in personal variations which emerge through rendition, as well as in emotional suggestions that music creates.
