Fandango is the meeting between the study on Aina Alegre’s hammering and the world of Basque dances, practiced for many years by her dancer friend Yannick Hugron. The choreographic research develops from an anthropological perspective, digging down into the story of a collective rite which characterizes a specific cultural aspect of the Basque Region.
Yannick’s stories, emerging from a sort of journey through the memory of his own body, become composition tools for Aina, evoking in the choreography lived experience, the gestures and movements of this rite.
