This Must Be the Space is the Festival’s project dedicated to supporting emerging artists under 35. Proposals are selected through an open call, giving an increasing number of young choreographers the opportunity to present their work.

Since last year, the project has been strengthened through a collaboration with the MILANoLTRE festival. Two juries were involved in the selection of the performances: one made up of eight students from the dance-focused high schools in Bergamo and Milan, and the other consisting of eight regular audience members of the two festivals.

The evaluation sessions were conducted under the guidance of the artistic directors of FDE and MILANoLTRE.

The two creations selected through the open call are:

• Settembre non arriverà mai by Noemi Piva
• LOVE PARADE by Glenda Gheller

This selection also includes Figliasanta by Ludovica M. Poerio, selected outside the open call by the artistic direction.
